HTC Touch
The HTC Touch is only one of several Windows Professional phones on the market today. But, what makes it a good phone for you? Well, it comes with some new features that are pretty impressive. On the other hand, if you are a text message freak, then this phone may not be for you after all. Read on to learn what makes this a good phone or why it might not be for you…
Those who find that the look of their phone is half of its appeal will find that the HTC Touch phone will more then live up to their expectations. This phone is very nice looking and ultra-modern. It is also compact and light. At 3.95 ounces it is the smallest Windows Professional Phone on the market. Like the T-Mobile Dash, the HTC has a rubber like feel that is soft to the touch. This makes the phone easy to grip. You can get this phone in two different colors, wasabi green and black.
Although the new HTC has a touch screen, it is not multi touch like the iPhone. Unlike the iPhone though, with this phone you can use a stylus. It also has a new application included that gives larger touchable options. This is only available for basic options though, due to the fact that they cant reconfigure the whole Windows system. It is still a nice addition to the phone. There isn't too much of a change to the new phone, compared to the last. The programs and settings look and work pretty much the same. The Internet Explorer, email, contacts, calender, and solitaire are also the same as before.
Not many improvements have been made to improve the ease of use either. For instance, the keyboard is the same small standard Windows version. It would have been a large improvement if they had designed their own full keyboard like so many of the new Windows Professional phones have. Without this update it is very difficult to use Messenger, text message, or email without the use of the stylus. The screen on this phone also leaves much to be desired. It has much more glare then the standard phone does. And sometimes it needs to be tilted in order to see what is on the screen.
However a few things have been added or updated. HTC now has Today theme access to the application launcher. They have also added the weather and a listing of calender events. The biggest addition is the new swipe action. When you swipe from the bottom to the top of the home screen a cube like shape appears. This allows you to access different menus. One side is just for user assignment.
You can download pictures of your favorite contacts, then when you click on the picture the contact and all of their information pops up. This does not automatically call them; you still need to press the call button. Swipe from left to right and it will bring you to the next side. This one is an application launcher. The final side is a multimedia center. This is were you go for music, pictures and videos.
In conclusion the HTC is a very sleek modern phone. It appeals to the style-conscious buyer. It was not meant to rival any of the new smart phones on the market. However with the cool new additions it makes an adequate business phone, that is in style as well.
