Playstation 3 Verses Xbox 360
The main competition in the video gaming market is between PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. In other words, the competition is between Sony and Microsoft. Video gamers align with either PlayStation 3 or Xbox 360. The competition is so stiff that for many, it is hard to decide, which one is a better game console.
PlayStation 3 was introduced in November of 2006, and was created specifically, to beat Xbox 360. By the way, Xbox 360 was introduced a year before PS3; therefore, it does have a head start in the competition. But Sony is not the one that likes to be left behind. That is why PS3 was introduced with really advanced features, which even Xbox 360 does not have.
Who Is the Best?
Let us compare and contrast the features of both the game consoles, to figure out which one is truly the best. As mentioned earlier, Xbox 360 was released a year before PlayStation 3 was released. To make PS3 really competitive, Sony introduced Cell Broadband Engine to power its latest game console. The power of Cell Broadband Engine is 40 times more powerful than the chip used for PS2. The Cell Broadband Engine technology makes the game more real and entertaining. In this department, Xbox 360 is far behind PS3.
Both, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, allow gamers to compete online also. In this regard, players find that Xbox Live online service is more full-featured than PlayStation Network. However, Xbox Live service is going to cost you. Whereas PS3's online service is free of charge.
Quite Function
When you compare the functioning of Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, you will notice that PS3 is really quite. Xbox 360, on the other hand, is really loud. When you are enjoying your game, the last thing you want is distraction. The loud noise coming from Xbox 360 is really a big distraction and after a while, it gets annoying. PS3, on the other hand, is so quite that you will be surprised. Considering how much power it has, you can truly commend Sony for a task well done.
Blu-Ray
The biggest attraction of PlayStation 3 is its Blu-ray digital disc drive. Xbox 360 does not have one. The graphics and audio quality of both the game consoles are almost similar; however, PS3 beats Xbox 360, with its Blu-ray disc drive. With its Blu-ray and other media functionalities, PS3 is truly a complete media center.
Another point where Xbox 360 fails and PlayStation 3 is the winner is the compatibility issue. The backward compatibility of Xbox 360 is really not that great. However, with PS3, gamers can play all their favorite old games with no hassle.
It seems that PlayStation 3 with its unique features is catching the attention of video gamers, all across the world.
