Satellite Tv Company
For people outside the connective range of cable or, for some reason has a grudge against their local cable provider, you can still enjoy the wide selection of television offerings available through a satellite TV company. Being able to access over 255 channels in addition to premium movie and music channels as well as pay-per-view options is available to everyone in North America with a clear view to the southern sky.
There are currently two major players in the satellite television market, DirecTV and Dish Networks. Both are offering what is called in advertising, free satellite television, but the advertising can be somewhat misleading. While the equipment and professional installation may be free from the satellite TV company, in exchange for a certain time commitment to keep the minimal programming, you will still pay a monthly service fee for the services.
As competition for satellite customers heats up, the incentives keep growing with offers of equipment and installation for four, or even five rooms, being made satellite TV ready at no cost. Whichever satellite TV company you choose to go with, will still charge the service fee.
Keep Service Even If You Move
One of the significant advantages of subscribing to a satellite TV company is if you have to move, you do not have to take the satellites with you. You can leave them behind and just pack up the receivers and take them to your new residence. The satellite TV company will come out and install new satellites for you, if needed, and reconnect your indoor equipment and have you back to watching your satellite TV in no time.
Both satellite TV company players also offer high-speed internet service through satellite enabling those living where a cable service or direct subscriber line is not available and they are fed up with the slow speed of dial-up internet connections. Charges are usually billed separately and require a second satellite dish for both services.
With most things being equal in programming selection and quality, the service provided by the satellite TV company you choose will be the deciding factor. Its on-air time and service will be crucial during your contracted period. The response time for servicing, the wait time on the help line and corrections to billing errors are all important parts of service you would expect from your satellite TV company. Check with friends and neighbors who are currently using a satellite TV company to see what their experience has been before making a final decision.
