There are many reasons why a person would want to return an audio book. Depending on how popular the book itself is, you might get to purchase the used audio book for less that half its original cost. This especially true if the store selling it is having a clearance sale on various items, including audio books that have been returned.
However, there are some downsides to purchasing a used audio book. For example, if the first owner purchases a defective audio book and decides to return it with no explanation, it is up to the store it originated from to find out if the audio tape still works. However, there are some stores that forget to complete this step, so before purchasing the used audio book, be sure to ask if there are any problems with the audio book when it plays.
There are many places that sell used audio books. Stores that specialize in selling music CDs and tapes will sell them. Some bookstores will sell them in a special section, but there are many others that prefer to sell only new audio books. Of course, you can also find these kinds of audio books online. With the proper research, you are sure to find the right used audio book.
